#YOUTUBEBLACK: THE GROUNDS

The Challenge

To kick off their first in-person event since the pandemic started, YouTube wanted to celebrate their Black creators by hosting #YouTubeBlack: The Grounds — a place to reset, relax, and reconnect to the community around them.

YouTube approached Pop’N to concept and produce the event from start to finish, including event programming, food/beverage, and a full experiential buildout.

The Results

We crafted a visual identity and program aligning with Youtube’s goal to make The Grounds a place of relaxation for their creators. We partnered with Yoga influencer Rahmad Conrad Cunningham to lead a meditation and grounding exercise, Grammy award-winning songwriter and artist Nija to perform an exclusive acoustic set and DJ Dominic Carter to set the mood all night.

We also hired afrofuturist artist Afro Child to guide a live art installation for creators to participate in. The set was full of insta-worthy spots to capture the fun and love between the creators.
