The Opportunity

CBS wanted to reintroduce itself to Atlanta, launching the first owned-and-operated station. With trust in local news wavering, CBS needed more than just visibility—they needed to reconnect with the community in a way that felt authentic and impactful. To do this, they partnered with Pop’N to create an experience that highlighted CBS’s programming, honored Atlanta’s culture, and built genuine relationships with key local figures. 

 

The Approach

To celebrate the launch, we created an immersive, city-wide celebration—CBS Atlanta Fest. We designed multiple brand touchpoints, including an AR/VR experience to showcase their innovative studio technology, a CBS Sports Pavilion with a 6-course mini-golf experience and a custom dessert and champagne tasting inspired by their programming. Every element was thoughtfully designed to maximize excitement, engagement, and social sharing. More than just promotion, the event aimed to embed CBS into Atlanta’s culture, treating attendees not as viewers, but as partners—setting the stage for a station deeply connected to the community and its stories.


The Results

CBS Atlanta Fest made a standout debut, combining tech, local culture, and star presence to launch the new station. The event hosted 235 guests, including over 30 CBS talents and 40+ media and influencer figures, attracting Atlanta’s key tastemakers and leaders. Media coverage reached 2.5–3.5 million, while social content from the night surpassed 7.1 million in reach. Attendees praised the immersive experience and CBS’s clear investment in Atlanta’s future—marking the event as more than a launch, but a bold statement of intent.
